RoCustom Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the information handled by the Extension and explains how we approach your privacy. Our goal is to enhance your experience on roblox.com while respecting your data.

Now, continuing with the rest of the Terms os Service, kindly note the following terms ahead of time, since they have special definitions:

• “Children” or “Child” means any user under the age of 13

1. Information We Handle

RoCustom Extension (hereinafter – Extension) processes three main categories of data.

a) User Settings:

To remember your settings, the Extension uses chrome.storage.sync or chrome.storage.local. This ensures that your preferences are retained across browser sessions and stored locally on your device.
All data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.

This data includes:

I. The status of all features (enabled or disabled)

II. Your chosen appearance theme (Light, Dark, or Sync with Device)

b) Locally Stored Content:

For certain features, user-uploaded content is stored in the browser’s IndexedDB. These data are local to your computer and are not synced across devices.

This data includes:

I. Video backgrounds or fonts: If you upload a video or font for your homepage, the data is converted and stored locally. It is used only to display the background or font on roblox.com and is not transmitted to external services.

c) User ID and Username:

For some features, data may be stored on external services. We do not take responsibility for the security of these data, but we collect them only when you link your Roblox account via our OAuth 2.0 application. OAuth 2.0 App Privacy Policy

This data includes:

I. Your Roblox User ID.

II. Your Roblox Username.

2. How We Use Your Data

We do not share your data with third parties. The settings and data stored by the Extension are used exclusively to provide its core functionality:

a) To apply your chosen visual (or functional) customizations on roblox.com.

3. Information We DO NOT Collect

We want to be perfectly clear about what we do not do. Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or sensitive browsing data. This includes, but is not limited to:

a) Your Roblox User ID, Username and Cookies:

I. While the Extension's popup fetches this information from Roblox APIs and displays it for your convenience, it is never permanently stored by the Extension or transmitted to any third-party servers (EXCEPT WHEN YOU VOLUNTARILY USE THE OAUTH 2.0 AUTHORIZATION, IN WHICH CASE YOUR DATA IS TRANSMITTED TO THIRD-PARTY SERVERS ACCORDING TO ITS RULES). It is only displayed temporarily while the popup is open.

b) Your browse history, passwords or personal information from any website.

c) Content from the websites you visit.

4. Children’s Privacy

As mentioned above, we do not transmit your data to any third-party servers, except when using OAuth 2.0. Users under the age of 13 cannot authorize our OAuth 2.0 application in accordance with Roblox’s privacy policy, and therefore we do not collect data from children.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of the Extension and a revised "Effective Date".

7. Third-Party Services (OAuth 2.0 Application)

This section, along with subsections A-E, constitutes a separate Privacy Policy that describes the data handling practices of our OAuth 2.0 application.

a. Dependence on Roblox

Our OAuth 2.0 application fully depends on the Roblox API and infrastructure.

b. Terms of Service

The application has its own Terms of Service , which we strongly recommend reviewing before use.

c. Data Collection via OAuth 2.0

User data transmitted through OAuth 2.0 includes the following Scopes:

I. Openid – enables Single Sign-On functionality.

II. Profile – grants access to read your profile information.

d. Data Security and Storage

Data obtained via OAuth 2.0 is stored securely on hosting servers. This data is governed by external privacy policies and is partially beyond our control. We do not share this data with third parties, except as required by Roblox’s rules.

Data we collect and store:

I. User ID.

II. Username.

Note: While we only collect certain data, other data, such as the RoCustom ID, may be generated automatically on our side and linked to your account data.
